Happy Birthday Fikri!

I actually accidently forgot to blog about this order! Oh..how can i miss that? I have been using 3 differenet SD cards and sometimes got all the pictures mixed up!

Anyway, these cuppies were ordered by Kak Roza (the loyal returned customer) for her youngest boy Fikri. I was rushing and catching up with the time when I made this and just look at how I spelled the word 'BIRTHDAY'! It was suppose to be a "Y", but I ended up with and "R"!! haha..oh well...my mistake and so so sorry for that! But if I don't tell u this, u wouldn't notice it would you??

Course 2 Finale

After more than a year, I decided to continue with the second course by Wilton. The second course teaches about royal icing and making flowers from it. I've used royal icing before and I've made roses and lilies from royal icing before but there are also flowers like daisies, daffodils, violets etc...etc that just need the right techniques to do! So, that's why I attended the class.

Anyway, here's the final cake that all of us are suppose to make. I made lots of daisies and apple blossoms, but only used a few since I can' fit all on the cake! haha...

This cake was kept for a week so that I can use the same cake to celebrate my parents' anniversary! okla tu....

Happy Birthday Teacher Ina

I've been really busy nowadays and didn't have the time to upload photos and this blog! Anyway, this was a return order from Kak Roza for her best friend who's also my kids's teacher at the kindy. A surprise cuppies for her and she thought that it was from me! hahaha..sorry for the surprise! Anyway...thanks kak Roza for the order and to Kak Ina...long live and please take good care of the kids in the kindy!

Since I have extra oreo cupcakes, I decorated some for the other teachers who just can't resist my cupcakes! hehehe...

Cake & cuppies for Filzah

Another returned customer of mine ordered these..orange sandwich cake and chocolate moist cupcakes for her family function again. Just like before, the told me that everything was finished completely! Te kids must have enjoyed the cuppies so much! hehe..thanks Filzah!

Spongebob for twins - Nafiz & Nazif!

This cake is ordered by my return customer...mama Mia. This spongebob is for her first twin boys. They'll celebrate this at school, so mama Mia will not be able to taste this cake....Vanilla sandwiched with strawberry jem.

After the spongebob was completed...I forgot that I need to write HAPPY BIRTHDAY on the cake!! So, that's why that Happy Birthday word is missing and the names are very tiny and the number 7 is on the sleeve! LOL..sorry Mia...masyuk melukis!

Cheezy for Daddy

A return order from Wani for her hubby's birthday. Marble cheesecake with oreo base. Wani wanted oreo cheesecake initially, but since the order was kinda last minute and I didn't have enough ingredients to make one...so, I asked if marble cheese with oreo base is ok. She said ok and here it is!

* my Lumix broke down! So I had to use my old Sony camera and the pictures didn't turned out that good!

Cartoon cakes

This is another piece of my hardwork during my class the other day! Now I have to be an artist to draw all these cartoon pictures! Spongebob was sooo easy! haha...wait till I draw other figures! But as usual...our 'guru's' drawing was simple the best! The way he drew it....it looked sooo easy! and he did it very fast too!! (guess which one!!)

Anyway, now that I can draw..any orders for any of the cartoon characters are welcome!

Barbie Doll Cake

My girl always requests for this barbie doll cake. Now finally! I'm able to make this cake! It was not that difficult after all, but the works are a bit tedious...This cake was made from scratch! 4 layers of different sizes of cakes and then trim it all around! Mine turned out ok, baribie's skirt is just the right size...and my roses turned out good too! But, as usual..the 'guru's' cake is of course the best!

Yup, this cake was made during my class on last Sunday..and YES...it's for sale now! So, if you're interested, just email me or call me....price depends on the flavor and design! I will use the Wilton Barbie dolls only. They're a bit expensive, but the quality is much better than the cheap ones!

Pretty BARBIE 4 Alya Mysarah

This is the first time I made this Barbie 2D cake. My sis in law asked if I can make the Barbie doll cake for Alya and I said that I could try! Buttt....I'd rather not! Wait till I go to the barbie doll cake making class first!

Anyway, I remembered that I have this 2D Barbie pan that I bought last year and still haven't used it yet. So, I offered that Barbie instead..and she said ok! So, Ok...deal!

So this is how it looks like! It was kind of difficult to ice the cake smoothly at the top and at the sides, so I decided to pipe the top with star tip and the sides with the basketwave tip! I think it looks much better! Tapi, sungguh lenguh tanganku!

Alya just loves those colorful hearts deco sugar, so I put them a lot on the cake! She loves my buttercream icing too!! She has not seen this yet as of now...can't wait for tomorrow for the guests's comments on the cake!

p/s: If anyone is interested, you may order, but the barbie face is not sold together. I will only lend you the face and you need to return it back to me after your fu'nction.

Happy Birthday Dearest Mom!

My mom's birthday is actually tomorrow and she'll be 62 this year! I didn't know what I was thinking about when I wrote her age on the cake...as you can see..it's 63! huhuu..Sorry..sorry bonda...without intention!

Anyway, I baked vanilla cake and mixed in the fresh blueberries. Layered the cake with blueberry filling and iced the cake with buttercream icing. Put some blueberry filling on the cake in the middle and decorated the cake with red roses. The roses look great! don't you think? hehehe....But I think the cake looks more like a wedding cake than a birthday cake! Hmmm...it looks gorgeous & lovely anyway!

Whenever I have extra cupcakes and the extra time.... I'd like to try new designs. But simple designs using buttercream icing. I still don't have the time to try anything from the gum paste yet!

These muffins were ordered by a pregnant lady who's craving for the muffins! She has tasted them before during my Hari Raya open house last year. So, that's why she requested for them again! hehehe

Cute Barbie & bumblebee cuppies

This order was not actually directed to me. My collegue passed this to me because she's not into cuppies. She's a cookie person now! hehehe..

Anyway, Shidah wanted 70 pcs of cuppies with barbie & bumbleebee edible images for her sister. I had a bit of difficulty when ordering the edible images due to the time factor! It was my firt time actually but luckily I was able to get it in time!

Having these edible images on the cuppies saved a lot of my decorating time somehow! But, I had to spend some time cutting those little pictures though! I made extra 2 as you can see at the very right bottom..just to fill in the gap!

I think they look very cute and sweet...Sayang pulak nak makan gambar-gambar tu...but I hope the kids love them! thanks Shidah for your order!

These cakes were ordered by Linda, for her daughter's birthday. The BIG one is for the nursery and I made a small one for them to eat at home. The cake ended up being very tall! 4 layers of chocolate moist with chocolate ganache filling and frosting!
